Medical Doctor

I am a family physician and hospice doctor. I graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1979 in Houston, Texas. I served as Director of Integrative Medicine at Mercy Medical Center in Durango, Colorado from 2001 to 2006. Hospice Advocate

I was a board-certified hospice and palliative care physician who has served patients through the Hospice at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. I was on the Advisory Board of Hospice at Mercy Medical Center in Durango, Colorado from 20 years. In 1995, I wrote a book on hospice and near-death experiences, Love is the Link: A Hospice Doctors Shares her Experience of Near-death and Dying. The book was updated in 2013 and is currently available as a print-on-demand or e-book through amazon.com. Since that time I have spoken internationally on end-of-life issues including the importance of hospice and advance care directives. Tai Chi Practitioner

I have studied Sun Style Tai Chi with Dr. Lam in the United States and in Australia. I have led workshops in Tai Chi for Arthritis and Tai Chi for Diabetes and have assisted in leading Sun Style 73 workshops. I have been a Master Trainer in the U.S. since April, 2002. Conscious Aging Facilitator

As I approach my 70s, my attention turned to gifts and difficulties of aging . From the age of 69, I began immersing myself in books on aging, and underwenttraining to becomeaConscious Aging Facilitator through the Institute of Noetic Science (INOS). In 2015, I facilitated our first 8-part series in Conscious Aging in my hometown. I'm using what I'm learning to fashion my elder years in a thoughtful, heart-centered way that benefits me and everyone with whom I come into contact.
